I am having problems formatting my messages -- I've tried to insert HTML and plain text. A space is always added, and links do not work (my domain is stripped out)
How can I fix this?
Joomla 1.5.10
CB 1.2
MCS 1.0.3

I think this can be fixed by some configurations of your WYSIWYG Editor

Joomla 1.5.10
CB 1.2
MCS 1.0.3Shabbat Shalom,
I am, somewhat, having this same problem with this component.
The editor creates the emails in the format I want them in but when the program sends the emails out all of the formating is removed and none of the links which this component supplies "shortcodes" to include in the emails are active... The "Shortcodes" are replaced with the correct info but none of the formating, as in paragraphs, active urls, etc, are in the final email once the email is received.
This makes the emails look extremely unprofessional and I suspect that the receiver of these emails do with them what I do with all emails I receive like this and they delete them without ever reading them.
This makes the entire process redundant if the member never reads the one big unformatted email you took the time to format & write to them.
I know their is nothing wrong with my WYSIWYG editor (JCE) as it works just fine with all of my other components as well as my articles.
Is their something we can do to get this thing to send the emails out in the format we write them in?
Shabbat Shalom,
Frank
P.S. This is a very much needed component and I desire to be able to use it but in the absence of a fix for this issue I will have no choice but to remove it until it can be fixed to work correctly.
I would attach some images to show you what's happening but I can't seem to figure out how to get them to upload.

Hi,
Same problems happened to me. My well-formatted html e-mail was sent as a one big paragraph plain text with spaces in place of line-breaks and with no hyperlinks.
I tried to fix it tracing the admin.mcs.php $message variable with FirePHP, but unfortunately the send routine happens before the subsequent server response page.
I can't use it until this issue be fixed. The extension is very interesting and needed and I encourage the developer to take a look in the extension to find what's wrong.
Greetings,
Paulo

Hi,
I was under pressure to release a CB based site next weekend and it took me an entire day to find a solution... and I found.
My installation has JCE HTML Editor and it was used to enter all the e-mails texts. It is XML/XHTML compliant and inserts lots of   (non-breaking spaces) and <br /> (break self-terminated tags) in the e-mail text.
The str_replace function invoked several times by the php unit
messed those tags resulting in a big "unformatted" text. Well, the message text has body text style, but the lack of paragraphs and line-breaks took my attention at first.
Entering the email text directly using phpMySQLAdmin in "rae_message" and "iam_subject" fields (of "mcs_config" table) using "old-style" <br> tags solved the problem!
This extension is quite good, I hope the developer find a workaround for this, but until there editing two SQL fields directly in database solve the problem!
Regards,
Paulo
