Displaying Extra Fields in Module Positions was created by rowedf
Hello,
I'm looking for a plugin/module that will allow me to use extra fields in categories but also be able to group/list those extra fields in module positions. For example, think of a restaurant review website that is using types of food for the category (burgers, pizza, wraps, etc) but as an extra field I would have restaurant information so the name, address, phone, etc can be added and all of that can be listed just how K2 categories are listed in module positions? So I could see a list of restaurant names, etc.
Does this plugin do that ?

Hello Dave,
Thanks for posting this question.
MEFG plugin has two main functions:
1- Allows to assign more than one extra fields group to a category, where this is not allowed by K2.
2- The ability to render multiselect fields as check-boxes, where K2 does not have checkbox field type.
Regarding the case of resturant review website, you can use the item tile for resturant name, this way you will be able to list resturant names, but AFAIK, there is no K2 module to list extra fields.
I will study this idea and get back to you asap, perhaps I can develop such module.
PS. have a look at the Categories Treeview for K2 , I think it will be helpful for a resturant review website.
