Question Before Buying

I am interested in purchasing this extension and have a question. Let's say I have a few extra fields under one group, and those fields have a few choices (black,brown,etc). With this extension, can I input one of those choices for all items under a category. For example, category "glass tile", extra field "finish" options (matte, polished, frosted), can I select only "frosted" and have it add it to all items under that category? Thank you in advance.

This plugin is not used for this purpose, it is used to allow assigning more than one group to a category.

What you want to do is to set a default option of a specific field for items belong to a specific category, right?

I think this can be done by a custom plugin, if you like I can estimate the cost of this plugin and send it to you.
