Checkbox extra fields for K2

Hi All,

I will add a feature to support checkbox field type, as this type is not supported by K2 extra fields manager.

It will be part of the MEFG plugin.

Do you think this feature will be useful?

I just bought this plugin v.1.0.2 only for that reason, but I don't see checkboxes instead of multiple selection after setting up 'ckeckbox' in plugin settings.

How can I fix this issue?

Welcome to JoomReem.com and thanks for buying MEFG.

You don't need to fix the issue, you need to make some configuration.

First of all, make sure the plugin is published.

Then create a multiselect field, if you already have created one, keep its id.

Go to the category in which you will display this field, and in the bottom enter the field id in the text field labeled: Checkbox Field IDs

If you have more than 1 field, enter their ids separated by comma.

This will work if the multiselect fields belong to additional extra groups checked in: Extra Field Groups

If they belong to the main extra field group, let me know to send you an update until the next release come.

Anyway, The next release will come in 2 days at most.

It helps a bit, but:

case 1: If I check Extra Field Group in MEFG for K2 Plugin block in category settings, I see extra fields groups with checkboxes but twice time.

case 2: If I set only extra filed id without checking category in MEFG for K2 Plugin block I don't see anything.

I need something like 'case 3'

I found the 'case 3' solution: I sould just set up 'Extra Field Groups' checkbox to 'None'.

I was moving my website to a new server, almost the move is completed, I will start to write detailed documentations for all extensions to be a reference for such cases.

Have you checked the Categories Treeview for K2 module, some of MEFG buyers found it useful and bought it as well.

Hi, I also purchased this product for the checkbox option. Is there an update that provides this?

Also, as soon as I enabled the plugin, ALL of my additional fields have disappeared from the admin side. Can you tell me what I did wrong? or...maybe I missed something.

The latest version 1.0.31 supports checkboxes.

Please let me know which versions of K2 and Joomla you are using.
