[SOLVED] Extra fields groups not shown in new item

Hello,

I have just bought MEFG and I have a problem. In new item form extra fields groups are not shown, instead of that there is a message: "This category doesn't have assigned extra fields". This problem is present in backend and frontend.

I've tried changing the plugin folder permissions from 755 to 777 and it's is the same.

Can you help me with this issue?

Hello Tina,

Provided that you configured the category plugin section correctly, most probably it is a javascript issue.

Can you use Firebug or any other method to check for javascript errors?

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry I can't see the problem. I'm not used to firebug and I can't detect the problem using it. It only shows one error from a jquery function (I think is from the template), and nothing else from the MEFG plugin.

Any javascirpt error can stop all other javascript code executed after it, so try to fix this error and the plugin will work.
The plugin uses jQuery to change the extra fields on changing the category.

The template manager allows to enable or disable JS optimization, I have disabled it but the problem persists.

I create items without extra fields, because of the message that I have told you before, it can't find any extra field for any category. When I edit this item, I can select extra fields, but if I change the category, the problem returns and the system can't find extra fields.

Besides, there is something else: we use K2 extra fields filter from Joomlart. When we try to search an item, the page shows a 500 error, and this is what firebug console shows:

"NetworkError: 500 View class not found.../itemlist/view.html.php - smartcbi.org/community_lab/index.php/com...3&ordering=publishUp "

I've used this module always and never have problems before. It is like something changed with MEFG.

I don't have enough js knowledge for solve this. Can you help me please? I can give you credentials to have a look in bakend if you need it.
